Hello,
We are a small organization in the financial/retirement industry. We are beginning to build computer-based training to provide basic technical training and/or updates to our associates. (At some point, we may expand our topics to soft skills.) Right now we are using Powerpoint with voice over. Does anyone have any CBT software programs that they'd recommend? We design adn develop the programs ourselves, we are just needing recommendations for programs in which to do this. Please advise.
Thank you.

Hi Angela,

I once developed several self-paced CBT modules using an e-learning program called "TutorPro" (you can google it). I recall it was a cost-efficient solution and totally customizable to one's environment. It allows you to create interactive modules that can also be assessed for learning.
Hope that helps,
San.

Hi Angela,

There are two that I have seen and really would like to own myself. I am still trying to get the company to approve at least one or the other.

The first is FlashForm http://rapidintake.com
The Second is Captivate http://www.adobe.com/products/captivate/

Both appear to be easy to use and are very reasonably priced.

You can contact me if you have any questions. jmedina@agrium.com

Hello Angela

You may want to consider Articulate as it works with PowerPoint as an add in to create flash sessions.

Hi Angela,

I have tried several e-learning programs (Authorware, Articulate, Lectora, and others), along with programs such as PowerPoint, but I keep coming back to OutStart Trainer.

It's real easy to use, but has a lot of advanced features too, for when you want to extend the functionality. It's a great application and I couldn't recommend it highly enough.
