We just implemented an SAP LMS and are re-evaluating our current eLearning toolset. Any recommendations for tools that work particularly well with the SAP LMS? Likewise, any tools that do not work well?

I would be interested in what you implemented. Was it LSO 600? What Service Pack? When you ask what does it play well with I think you mean the LSO Authoring Environment and the Repository Explorer. The most common toolsets like the Adobe Suite work well. With any tool including other third party tools like Lectora and Captivate you have to do some testing. SAP is very strict in what is and is not a good SCORM package and if the Authoring Environment has any issue with the package it often doesn't work well. There were issues around multi-sco objects in SAP LSO as well. I would recommend the SAP Network Wiki (https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/wiki). Senior SAP folks and practitioners participate in discussions around the LSO. Also, consider ASUG (America's SAP Users Group) to connect with people in your region who have similar software to discuss best practices. Hope that helps.
