Iam just entering the web-based training arena. I have developed the first program with Adobe presenter but what is necessary in order to "launch" this on the organization's website?

Talk to your IT department.

Actually, your IT dept is probably going to bounce you back until you get more answers about the goals for the course and the audience.

I would start with your training management team, and find out their preferences for tracking the usage.

If you don't care about tracking the course, it may be as simple as just putting it on your intranet, devising a marketing plan that should at least include a nice email with a link to your course, and then working with your IT dept to ensure that the course won't bring down your network when everyone views your file(s).
If your course contains no Flash, audio, or video, it's not as much of a concern.

Good luck!
