Seven hours? That's an estimate for a half hour of eLearning i received from a client. (That is what the client thinks it will take me.) Is this reasonable including storyboarding, rehersal, recording, etc? No exercises, just "lecture".
I have not done this type of rapid development before and wonder about others' experiences.
Thanks in advance,

I agree with Ben. However clients sometimes view eLearning as the "easy" way out. They simply don't realize the time and effor that it takes to create a quality training program. I think you need to voice your side and come up with a common ground. Good Luck!

That seems quite low, even for "rapid" development. Seven hours isn't much time to do much of anything.
I suppose it depends upon what they give you as a starting point-- if they give you a PowerPoint with all the content and just want you to jazz it up, record audio, then convert using a tool like Captivate/Articulate, you could probably do that in a couple of days (not 7 hours).
But if they want you to storyboard, it doesn't sound like they have something ready to hand you to start with. 7 hours might be a good estimate of the storyboarding... but not of a whole project.

So I have looked at one of these presentations. The speaker talks for about thirty minutes and changes PPT slides. That's it. I think by "storyboarding" they mean "designing and typing in PowerPoint slides".
