Hi Van -- you could play a part in establishing a "buddy" system and/or mentoring program. As you know, people learn the most about their jobs when they actually DO them, and they also learn the most from people who have done it already. It's the tacit knowledge that is key -- get these new people paired up with people who already know the job well. Shadowing is a great learning tool.
Depends on the business...why are they hiring people who need that much time to ramp up? Is the business willing to wait that long for job proficiency? This really might be a hiring issue. |
