Rick,
I think you've got an up-hill struggle ahead of you. I'm not so sure that customized training for engineers would be any more effective than the generic. Having worked as an engineer at Boeing, I can tell you that we would never have outsourced any type course that dealt with our processes and procedures. I can't even imagine how a vendor would presume to know enough about the subject - since it is usually proprietary stuff. Also, to "prove" anything to engineers is most difficult. Not only that, but most know from experience that a great deal of vendor-customized training is usually little more than a tweeking of a generic course. I can understand wanting to make more money, but I think maybe you have the wrong client base for customized training. I don't know about architects, but imagine they would be similar to engineers. I just can't imagine that you will find anything "proving" that customized training is better than generic. I don't believe it myself. Every course has to be evaluated on its own merits. Hello -
I was wondering if you found any more information on Process Based training? I am doing some investigating on Process Based and Role Based. The information seems to lead to the two being the same. I cannot seem to find the distinction between the two. Do you have any comments on this. Thanks, Ked |
