Does anyone have a template that can be used to analyse the costs and benefits of a sales training?
Thanks.

In order to do a real cost benefit analysis you need a number of things. First, you need accurate sales data on participants. Then you need a group that goes through the training and a control group so that you can somewhat isolate the effects of the training. You need to get agreement upfront that the groups are similiar.

(We've also done this where we select an account to work on during the class and then measure the results with those accounts.)

On the cost side, you should figure out the cost of delivering the training including travel time and student time. The cost of development should be amortized over all the training not just one class or group.
