I am looking for an evaluation tool that will allow my learners to respond anonymously and the results are in a location where they can be retrieved without the trainer having access.

We recently used Survey Monkey but anyone with the correct login can access the survey results. We are looking for a tool that that will allow us to print reports and give to the trainers but not allow them to see all the responses.

Does anyone know if something like that exists?

LaWanda we use Zoomerang, which is an online survey tool similar to Survey Monkey. However I don't give access to our trainers, instead I download the survey results and import them into an Access database. Then I use Access to generate a report that I give to the trainers. It doesn't have all the responses and in some cases aggregates the data.

Not sure if this would help or not.

Z and SM are wonderful tools with some pretty nice capabilities. Their utility tends to get stretched when it comes to aggregating data, comparing data over time, and combining feedback for several individuals in a single project (used to spot trends across a population...for example...your trainers). But for many, they are a great choice.

Don't know if this helps...but the software I purchased and use in my own consulting practice allows complete privacy...while providing all the feedback in a customized report (meaning it includes only what you want to include.

I'm not really sure why Survey Monkey won't work for you, it has all the features you need and you can export the results.

You would simply limit access so that trainers cannot log in to SM.

Have you gotten the trainers' perspectives on this plan?

If you're referring specifically to the evaluations that are typically distributed at the end of a class (aka Level 1, aka "smile sheets") -- those already are (or should be) anonymous and definitely should be distributed and collected immediately at the end of the training event.
