I am interested in calculating the fair market value of training modules that we produce in-house. I know that I need to factor in development time in hours x salary of development team, but this just provides me with a total cost for creating the module. I suppose that I would also need to do some research...what are similar training moduels / CE on the same topic available for out in the field?
I need this information so that I can provide our clients with a $ amount in training that we have provided their staff over a 12 month period. (# of participants x fair market value of offering). Can anyone help? Thanks. |

Hi msever... what you've said here hits the nail on the head. You do need to do some research and that is one of the questions you should explore. One could begin by identifying one's competitors in the marketplace and seeing what their offerings and pricing schemes are. Someone recently asked a related question about setting prices for her services. One must conduct market research to determine reasonable, realistic, competetive pricing (quoting myself there from the other thread). |
