I am looking for a generic course or program evaluation and was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction.

Andy,
hello again. What sort of course? Couldn't you just manufacture a questionnaire for participants?

Andy, it sounds like you want to deepen your knowledge of evaluation not just use all the available tools. This makes sense.

I would start with some of the more current books out there that give good examples of evaluation case studies in a variety of contexts. Kirkpatrick's book is good for this, and an old one that I still refer to a lot for evaluation ideas is Dana Gaines Robinson's Training for Impact. She helps you get a grip on tests and measurement, and walks you through Kirkpatrick's levels using cases.

Andy - as for good, sound advice and insights about evaluation, I swear by Piskurich - Rapid Instructional Design (mainly for designing good tools) and Brinkerhoff - High Impact Learning (for ensuring that what you're designing in the first place will have impact on learners and on the organization).

In my opinion, it's time to let go of paradigms that are over 40 years old (i.e., Kirkpatrick) when there are newer, fresher, better ways to do this.
