"Although motivation to learn has been studied in the past, little has been known about the mediating role of motivation to learn in the relationship between supervisor's role, job performance and organizational commitment. Most of training researchers (e.g., Chiaburu & Tekleab, 2005; Colquitt et al., 2000; Facteau et al., 1995)have focused on the antecedents and outcomes of motivation to learn but did not attempt to identify the underlying key variables of motivation to learn."
Guys, do you think this is a good research gap that could motivate a researcher to further explore the mediating role of motivation to learn? I need your comments and suggestions
Actually, I plan to use this statement in my research proposal. Though I don't really sure whether or not it is good enough.
Another thing is I also found most of past studies advocated that motivation to learn is the outcome of employees' organizational commitment. Very few studies attempt to examine the role of motivation to learn in influencing organizational commitment.
I really need your comment on this and I hope someone could give me a guide to write a good statement that can reflect research gaps and contribution of study.
