Good day,
I need to develop and implement methods of evaluation for a software training program. I would like to know what levels of evaluation are being used in the IT industry. We currently have a smiley sheet but I would like to get a gauge of what the industry standard is. Your input is appreciated. Thank you. |

Hello C2LLL -- I don't mean to be thick, but I'm a bit confused by the question. Is the evaluation of software training (formative and summative) somehow different from other learning solutions?
In other words - I'm trying to understand ... Why shouldn't software training be evaluated/analyzed the same way any other training is? And why does it matter what other places are or are not doing when one should do what is best for one's organization and learners? These are open, rhetorical questions and not addressed to you, personally. |

Hello, FF
I work for a software company that provides end users training on the different modules of the software. Currently, the only type of evaluation being used is Level 1-Reactionary Smile sheets. I would like to incorporate levels 2 and 3. I guess I want feedback from other software companies that provide training and how effective their assessment is of their programs. The Management team would like to get ideas on what is other companies are doing, sort of a benchmark. Hope that clears things up. Your input is welcome. Thank you, |
