Hi. I apologize in advance for the amount of text... I am consulting for a software company in the instructional design of their product courses. They also need information on creating an international Training Partner Program for their products - I do not have personal experience in this area, and could use some guidance/best practices in establishing the terms of the partnership, specifically in the areas of:
Administration

    Student registration / payment
    Processing Purchase Orders / Invoicing
    Storing information
    Course schedule updates/notifications
    Business metrics and management

Delivery

    Course materials duplication
    Trainer
    Facility / classroom
Auxiliary materials (pens, tent cards, etc.)
    Food / snacks

Branding

Content

Marketing

Selling

Specific questions we know to ask: (Note: the company does not have an LMS or centralized area for storing training related data yet, nor will they in the short-term… I have implemented LMS systems and have advised them on the benefits, but it is not in the budget for this year.)

Are there standard agreements around who is responsible for what in these key areas?

Are there standard financial splits around income and costs?

Are there standard agreements around ownership?

If anyone has been successful in implementing such a program, or could point me to some good reference material, I would greatly appreciate your help. Thank you in advance!!

I have experience of working with many different software companies providing an outsource solution for the provision of training manuals and peripheral items supplied on demand for courses running throughout EMEA, AsiaPac and the US. Consistency of brand and version control of the manuals being used and reporting are all vital parts of providing an effective service internationaly. If you would like to discuss this further please contact me. amanda.fyfe@pdi.co.uk
