We began a succession planning/leadership development approach within our company around one year ago. We have approximately 1000 employees total, and only 8 people in this program currently.

I'm looking to find other OD/HR people who I can talk with about succession planning in a company this size. What approach did you take? How has it worked for you? After the first year, how did you change the program, improve upon it, and keep developing high-potentials?

I would love to share ideas and get advice from someone in this situation. Thanks.

A few questions first. How successful is the current efforts? Why 8? Is that enough and on what level and type? Where is your organization going ? What drives it? Are you prepared to spend time and $. Have you exhausted the in house talent and must recruit? How long have you got? plus 25 other questions..
