Might anyone suggest an ideal ratio for group mentoring. The context is mid-senior level manager working with small group of junior level employees to discuss issues ranging from career development to navigating the organization to inclusion and valuing different approaches. thank you in advance
From many years of experience I suggest 5 maximum. You should clearly define roles, responsibilities, and defined goals for both the mentor and mentee.
If there is a need for mulitple groups/sessions, I would also consider the personality traits of the managers in order to have the best discussion. Some organizations use tools such as Myers-Briggs but it doesn't have to be that formal. Just a thought.
