Hi. Our leadership team wants to implement some measurements for mangement effectiveness in three areas:
- 360 Assessment (we have this one covered) - Business operations - Financial achievement I am looking for tools that we can use for the latter two, and would be interested in any suggestions from those who have experience with them. |

Yes,talk to your financial people if you have them?
The conversation should be about things like Business Model, Theory of Firm, etc. Nero |

My experience has been for the last 2 that you need to create specific metrics and hold managers accountable.
Business operations usually means managing budgets and fiscal accountability. Financial achievements usually means hitting your numbers. Leaders need clear, concise goals to be able measured on business or finances. Frankly, I don't know how you could possibly be a successful manager without having metrics to strive for. |

Thanks for your response. Our internal measures have been very informal up until this time. The financials are definitely tracked but there is not currently a tool that pulls all the measures together in a balanced way. I am currently working on identifying internal measures that we can approach using a balanced scorecard methodology, but was wondering if there was another approach out there that might work as well, or an off the shelf solution that could be customize to our organization.

What rationale suggests "balanced score card" is your remedy. Further "off the shelf", if you are an entrepreneurial/young firm avail yourself of top $ expertise. If not your organization will be paying a dear price for
a long period of time. Nero |
