We are planning to use the book The Secret: What Great Managers Know and DO as part of an annual recertification class for our managers. I am hesitant to purchase the leader guide for activities to complement the book. Does anyone have any ideas? These predominantly first line supervisors need to understand and utilize the SERVE concepts.

If they read the book prior to class, during class you could ask them to action plan ways to apply the concepts in their work. As a follow up, they could be asked to present a book report to their supervisor along with a description of two ways they applied concepts from the book.
