I am working on the development of a prpgramme for New managers who have been promoted within the ranks and these people have never gone through any kind of training.
The Role is in Back office Transaction and Processes Service for Financial sector. The Need analysis has already been done. The Gaps have been identified, But the problem is these people have not gone through any managerial or Leadership programme. I am not sure only training them on the Gap analysis format will be helpful as the have no formal understanding of their current managerial/ Leadership Strengths. What can be a right approach |

My opinion is that you should deliver a full leadership and management programme aimed at the level and include you identified gaps in the intervention. This is a mor holistic approach I think.

Hello,
Along with managerial training make sure that your employees read some journals and books related to managerial skills to develop a right attitude. Regards, sarah_9 Leadership Books |

It should be possible to surround the key gap analysis elements with core concepts from leadership thinking and strategy. i.e. the idea is that you provide them with leadership principles in order to engage them with the learning gap elements.
