I have been asked by a New HR VicePresident to recommend a Leadershp course. It nees to be in NJ or NY and focus on strategic leadership. It could contain a 360 feedback tool but her initial thoughts are that a 360 would not be effective because she is new to her role. CCL was appealing but it is too far away. She would also be open to a classroom program that follows up with some coaching. She wants to make sure she is transitioning properly, focusing in on what she should focus in on and is taking steps to lead an HR Department that is rebuilding its reputation within the organization and has a staff with 2 years or less tenure with the company.

I would highly recommend having someone facilitate the "New Executive Assimilation Process". The process will help pinpoint the type of leadership needed by the team and focus on the few key leadership practices that will build an engaged group of individuals.
It can also help identify the type of leadership development that is needed. edjrobbins@mchsi.com

With so many HR people to select from with backgrounds suitable for the task described. This individual now needs basic leadership
training and coaching???
You need somebody that can hit the ground running.

Let me circle back to my original posting. She is very experienced, bright and competent. She is looking to refresh and to confirm that she is on the right track. She has taken over an area that has faced many challeges in the last two years and she is looking to do everything she possible can to make the department a success. Do you know of any programs for senior leaders in the NY or NJ area?
