I am conducting a new supervisor class and will be incorporating Myers Briggs type. The majority of the partipants are not familiar with this type of assessment. Does anyone have have or know where I can find an opening exercise before I even introduce this concept?
Thanks for your help. |

Put the onus on the learners - have them do some research prior to attending. Give them a question or short set of questions that guide them to key concepts.
As a side note - if I recall (it's been a while), MBTI certification covers how/when/why to introduce the concepts. Additionally, do you have instructional designer resources where you work? They would be the best people to talk to. In this day and age of pervasive overuse/abuse of MBTI and other "personality type" indicators, I think most people are at least familiar with the concepts. You can look in a series of books called "Games Trainers Play." In addition, I used to use the University Systems (I think the name is Structured Exercises for Faciitators). These books are very helpful.
In addition, Consulting Psychologists Press, the publisher of the MBTI has a book that gives a variety of excellent training designs and steps for conducting workshops in Organizations on the MBTI.
