Hi KN -- I'm a bit at a loss. If you know these are the issues to deal with, then what is the issue? It's daunting, but its time to go back to the stakeholders and ask some of the tough questions. It makes absolutely no difference how this is delivered if its not even something that is a training issue in the first place.

This looks like a no-win situation. I see only two choices: just say no to their request as stated; or give them a course on mentoring, slip in the 22 terms, and call it a survey course.

Thanks, KaliKo - I may end up doing that. Right now, I'm trying hard to convince them that they need 2 different things: a mentoring program, and a survey course. My strategy is to keep reminding them that their goals for the mentoring program are much more far-reaching than "shared understanding of 22 concepts." Now that no one is thinking that I'm saying no to mentoring, I'm getting more cooperation.
Regards, KN
