Recently I was charged with coming up with creative job titles for our front line staff. I work in a credit union so we have the tellers, new accounts and loan officers just like all other financial institutions but we call them all kinds of fancy things. Anyway, we want something more creative...more member(customer) focused...something more FUN! Any ideas? For example, our CEO wants to call himslef the Chief Enjoyment Officer. OUr greeter is going to be the concierge desk...
thanks for any creative ideas! |

Dear tracydtrainer,
I think you have a great start by linking titles to what customers want when coming to a financial institution. I think you'll find your titles by revisiting your mission statement. What do customers want? A trusted place to service their daily needs while they plan & prepare for the future. A place that helps them create finacial security/stability. While your CEO wants to be called the Chief Enjoyment Office - is he really there for customers' enjoyment? I think you want your titles to make sense for your customers. Be careful not to slap on a new title that may not capture the essence of the role and cause confusion for your customer base. You don't want them to have to guess what the person is there for. Facilitate a game/activity where staff states what it is their customers look for from them and I think you'll get your answers. |
