I’ve been asked to recommend a book on Management for a relatively new manager (in the position for 1 year, but has no previous management experience or training).
Does anyone have any recommendations? |

AMA has a lot of great self study courses. In particular, "What Managers Do" is loaded with information. In addition, it is a credited course and he/she will receive a CEU credit from AMA. Here is the link: What Managers Do
Hope this helps, Sarah |

I like Peter Drucker’s “The Effective Executive in Action”. It combines a summary of the original book with workbook exercises and action plans for each chapter.

I always say it, but The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People is up there for me. Another I like is How to Lead by Jo Owen, which is pretty no nonsense in it's approach.

Hi,
Here are several books that I recommend on my website. Leadership Books May I also suggest my Align-Lead-Inspire website, which is designed specifically to help leaders be at their best. Warmest wishes Shelley |
